Kelly } Maternity Portraits } Brevard County, Florida

I got a little reality check while photographing this sweet little mama to be!!  I kind of have it in my head that all pregnant woman are uncomfortable and therefore slightly miserable much like I was when I was pregnant!  And then I get to photograph Kelly who was constantly smiling and laughing and super sweet--even in the sweltering Florida heat and humidity!  She really never complained--not once.   I had a blast photographing Kelly and cannot wait to photograph baby Mya when she arrives!!  Kelly's family purchased a maternity and newborn portrait  package for her as a gift for her baby shower (awesome gift!) so you will be seeing baby Mya on the blog in a few short months!!

Little Miss Lia } Family Portraits } Melbourne, Florida

I had a blast with Lia and her family at the FIT Botanical Gardens in Melbourne, Florida!  What a fun family!!  Little Miss Lia is adorable and seriously smiled the entire session--not a forced, fake smile either--a perfect, happy, little smile even with the 95 degree weather!!  She should seriously go in to modeling!!  Her cousins also joined us at the end of the session for a few family shots--and as you will see--they are also adorable!  Enjoy!!

Baby Lachlan ~ Newborn Photography

Nothing makes me happier than sharing my newest little model with you!!  His mama, Virginia, and I have been friends since elementary school.  The Rhodes crew has always treated me like family--they even took me on family vacations which were always great road trips (okay--they weren't always great at the time--when you are 16 you don't really want to be travelling in a car with parents but great and forever lasting memories!).  So--if I wasn't grateful at the time--THANK YOU JAN and RUSS!!  Virginia and I have seen each other through good times and bad in a friendship that spans over 20 years (yikes--I am seriously getting old) and I am so excited to share this wonderful journey of motherhood with her!!!

Baby Lachlan was born (unwillingly and 1 week late!!) last Tuesday. He is such a sweet little man--so peaceful and happy & Virginia is already a wonderful mama!!  Hope you enjoy the pics of his sweet little face!!

The Hernandez Family

I had a photo shoot with the Hernandez Family a few weeks ago and I loved every minute of it!! Such a great, close-knit family and lots of cute kids!!   Since there was a big age difference with the kids ( 5 months, 8 months, 7 years old and 9 years old) the family opted to have the session at home (rather than at a location such as the beach or a park) which worked out great!  Hope you enjoy the pics!

Moving is Terrible!!

We sold our house in 30 days!!  Which is awesome except we weren't looking for a new place to buy because we never thought it would sell that quickly!!  So--much thanks to Shannon Lynch--who hooked us up with the most awesome short term rental ever!  I have been thinking of it has our "summer home"~ okay so I  know I will never have a "summer home" except for this summer!!  This awesome house comes with the most fabulous picture taking spot ever so I have been torturing the boys with lots of outdoor pics in the Florida heat! Although--at our "summer home" there is always a nice breeze!!  I'm hoping they will rent me the dock after we move!! 

 The only draw-back is this annoying (but beautiful) bird who likes to make noises like someone is killing it at 3 a.m.!!  I suppose it is a small price to pay for the awesome view!



Baby Portraits ~ Isabella

Some new pics of one of my favorite little models~ Isabella!   She is 10 months old and  growing up way too fast!  She is standing and about a second from taking off!!    I didn't capture her new little stink face she makes when someone tells her "no"  but I am sure that won't go away too soon so we will be able to capture it when we do her 1 year old pics!!   

Newborn Portraits~ Sweet Baby Kelly

I photographed sweet baby Kelly last weekend--she is SOOOO cute!  She is 7 weeks old and I had an absolute blast at her session!  It was a privilege to take some of the first photos of Mommy and Baby--us Mom's are always so busy doing everything else (including taking pictures of everyone else holding the baby!) that we often forget to capture that most important picture! After all--Jean did do all of the work--sorry Mike but its true!!  Jean is already an AWESOME mom  and I am looking forward to taking more pictures of this sweet little baby!!  Thanks to Julie for all of the help :0)
